Build My Future, hosted by the Klamath Basin Home Builders Association, is an interactive, hands-on event designed to introduce students to careers in the building trades. This annual event brings together local businesses, educators, and industry professionals to showcase opportunities in construction, engineering, and related fields. High school students can explore various trades through live demonstrations, equipment operation, and hands-on activities, providing real-world experience in a fun and engaging setting. A highlight of the event is the Tiny Build, where students apply their skills to construct a tiny home on wheels, gaining valu- able experience while creating something tangible for the community. Supporters can contribute to this program by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win the finished Tiny Build. Build My Future aims to inspire the next generation of build- ers by connecting them with potential employers and training programs. Whether a student is looking for a career path or simply curious about the industry, this event offers an exciting glimpse into the world of construction and beyond!

Volunteer to Give Students a Day in the Construction Industry

Klamath Basin Home Builders Association is looking for employer volunteers to participate in this year’s build my future. Each employer will have a booth to showcase the trade they specialize in along with a 15 minute hands on interactive demonstration. Schools will rotate to each station on 15–20-minute increments along with participating in the building of a Tiny Home and shelter sheds. The event will take place on January 22nd at the Klamath Falls Fairgrounds.
